UTM Manager · AI Marketing Manager

Every campaign link. One clear picture.

Build consistent UTM links, share memorable short URLs and see how your campaigns perform. UTM Manager is part of CitationLab AI Marketing Manager.

UTM Manager brings campaign link building, reusable naming conventions, short links, QR codes and link analytics into the same project. Create links for ads, newsletters, social posts and printed materials. Group them by campaign and compare clicks and recorded conversions without maintaining a separate tracking spreadsheet.

From the first link to the campaign report

01

A complete UTM link builder

Set source, medium and campaign, add term and content when needed, and include custom parameters. Preview the destination before saving. Use content to distinguish creative variants and term to identify a keyword or audience.

02

Templates and shared parameter values

Save reusable templates and maintain shared source, medium and campaign values. Start a new link from a template to reduce inconsistent naming. Import and export parameter values as CSV when moving an existing naming system into Manager.

03

Short URLs with your own aliases

Share a short URL instead of a long parameter string. Give links readable aliases and choose from the short domains available in Manager. Set a default domain and alias prefix for the project. Domain availability depends on the configured options.

04

QR codes for offline campaigns

Generate a QR code for a campaign link, choose a visual preset and adjust colours and size. Download it for print or digital material. Scans open the link, so the campaign can be followed alongside your other shared links.

05

A searchable link library

Keep destination URLs, UTM values, short links and link status together. Find and edit links, export the link table, and pause or archive links when a campaign ends. Manage redirects and link defaults from the same module.

06

Campaigns with a shared view

Group links under a campaign so their clicks and recorded conversions roll up to the campaign plan. Keep links for different channels or creative variants together while retaining the detail for each link.

07

Dashboard and drill-downs

Follow clicks over time and compare source, medium, campaign and link groups. Filter by date and explore referrer, device, browser and operating system. Switch between people, bots and all traffic to understand what the click totals represent.

08

Conversions with clear boundaries

View conversions recorded against each link and the corresponding conversion rate. Conversion measurement requires the relevant tracking and event setup. Visitor filters narrow click data; they do not automatically narrow link-level conversions, so avoid treating those as matching segments.

09

Bulk creation and AI workflows

Create links in bulk through the connected CitationLab MCP tools. AI assistants can build and update links, reuse templates, retrieve link statistics and generate QR codes within their project access.

A repeatable workflow for every campaign

  1. 01

    Agree on the names

Choose consistent source, medium and campaign values. Save a template and shared parameter values before the team starts creating links.

  2. 02

    Build and share

Add the destination, create the link and choose a short URL or QR code. Use a separate link for each placement or creative variant you want to compare.

  3. 03

    Review and improve

Use the dashboard to compare clicks and recorded conversions. Check weak placements, review links with no activity and take the findings back to the next campaign.

One campaign, several placements

Illustrative example: a LinkedIn launch campaign uses source=linkedin, medium=paid_social and campaign=autumn_launch. Give each creative its own content value. The same campaign name can be reused for a newsletter link with a different source and medium. These are example values, not customer results.

utm_source
Traffic source, such as linkedin or newsletter
utm_medium
Channel type, such as paid_social or email
utm_campaign
The campaign name shared by related links
utm_content
Creative, placement or message variant
utm_term
Optional keyword or audience label

Questions about UTM Manager

Is UTM Manager a standalone product?

It is a module in CitationLab AI Marketing Manager. Links, campaigns and reporting live in your project. See the current plans for access and pricing.

Can I use the links with Google Analytics?

UTM parameters are standard URL parameters. Analytics tools such as GA4 can read them when their tracking is installed and permitted to run. Creating a UTM link does not install analytics or configure conversions on the destination site.

Can I create links and QR codes with an AI assistant?

Yes. The CitationLab MCP tools support link creation, bulk creation, updates, templates, link statistics and QR generation, subject to the connected user's project permissions.

Does every click represent a person?

No. Bots and automated link previews can also visit short URLs. The dashboard lets you inspect people, bots or all traffic. Link clicks, website sessions and conversions are different measurements.

Can I use my own short domain?

You can choose among the short domains configured and available in Manager and set defaults per project. A domain or alias is not available simply because you enter it; use an available option and check that the alias is free.

Should I use UTM parameters on internal website links?

Use them on campaign links that bring visitors to your site. For internal navigation, use click events instead, so you do not overwrite or confuse the attribution of the original visit.
