MCP

MCP connector

Let your AI assistant work directly in CitationLab. With the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can read your data, create actions and carry out changes in AI Marketing Manager — as you, with the access you approve.

01

Connector URL

One URL for every client that supports remote MCP connectors. There is no API key to copy — you sign in and approve the connection.

claude mcp add --transport http citationlab https://manager.citationlab.ai/mcp

04

ChatGPT

  • Settings → Connectors → Create (developer mode must be on for the workspace).
  • Give it a name, paste https://manager.citationlab.ai/mcp and choose OAuth as authentication.
  • Create, then Connect and approve. The connector also works as a Deep Research source.

05

Cursor and other clients

Clients that only speak MCP over stdio use the mcp-remote bridge. It runs the same sign-in in your browser on first use.

06

Access and security

  • OAuth sign-in. Tokens are short-lived and stored hashed — no long-lived secret sits in your assistant.
  • The assistant acts as you and never reaches more than your user can.
  • You choose the access level, and can narrow it to specific projects.
  • Every real change the assistant makes is written to the project's action log.
  • Settings → API → Connected apps lists every approved assistant. Disconnect revokes it at once.
  • MCP access depends on your plan.

07

What you can ask for

The assistant works across the modules your plan includes. A few examples:

  • “How visible are we in ChatGPT and Perplexity this month compared with our competitors?”
  • “Which pages lost the most clicks in Search Console over the last 28 days?”
  • “Create an action to rewrite the meta description on our pricing page, and assign it to me.”
  • “Pause the campaign with the weakest conversion rate last week.”
  • “Summarise the open actions in the project and suggest what to do first.”

08

Building an integration instead?

The same modules are available as a REST API with an API key and an OpenAPI description.
