CitationLab AS (“CitationLab”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
1. Data controller

2. What data we collect
Contact information you provide voluntarily — such as name, email, phone number, company and message content — when you fill in a form, book a demo, order an analysis or contact us.
Account and usage data if you use the CitationLab AI Monitor platform, including the domains, prompts and competitors you configure.
Technical data collected automatically when you visit our sites, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and interactions, via cookies and analytics tools.
3. Why we process your data (purposes and legal basis)
To respond to enquiries and deliver the services you request — legal basis: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
To operate, secure and improve our websites and the AI Monitor platform — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and developing our business (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
To send relevant information and marketing where you have opted in — legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
To comply with legal obligations such as accounting and bookkeeping — legal basis: legal obligation (GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our sites work, remember your preferences and understand how they are used. We use Google Tag Manager and analytics tools to measure traffic and improve content.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
5. Sharing and data processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf — for example hosting, analytics, email and CRM providers — under data processing agreements.
