Sexhjelpen is a Norwegian knowledge base and treatment service for compulsive sexual behaviour and pornography use, run by Terapivakten AS. It covers the condition, the treatment and the people around it — and it includes a self-assessment where the answers never leave the visitor's device.

The challenge
This is a subject nobody researches over someone's shoulder. Every visit is private, most are on a phone, and a large share of the questions come from a partner trying to understand what is happening rather than from the person themselves.
Which is why so much of that research has moved to AI assistants. Asking a model feels safer than asking a search engine, and far safer than asking a person. The service the model names is the one that gets a chance to help.
The task was to make a site that is genuinely useful to read on its own, and readable enough that an assistant can pass on what it says without distorting it.

A knowledge base first, a service site second — because that is the order the visitor needs them in.

Why this matters
When a subject carries shame, the search is silent and the decision is fast. Nobody compares five providers. They read one thing that made sense, and they contact whoever wrote it.
An assistant will only relay what it can read clearly. A page that hedges, or that hides the substance behind a contact form, gives a model nothing to pass on — and the person on the other end gets a vaguer answer at the worst possible moment.
